Longford man who failed to make court poor box donation hit with €400 fine

A defendant who failed to appear at court and make a poor box donation received fines totaling €400 at Longford District court.

John Duffy (26) of Clonevit, Moydow, Longford was charged with two public order charges following an incident at Farrell's Pub Main St, Lanesboro on September 4, 2022.

Mr Duffy failed to make a charity donation and Judge Bernadette Owens registered a conviction and imposed a fine of €250 for the threatening and abusive behaviour charge and a fine of €150 for the public intoxication charge.
