Longford students gather food for local St Vincent De Paul branch
The students of Mean Scoil Muire gathered twelve big boxes of food for SVP this Christmas
On Monday, December 16 th , Mean Scoil Mhuire welcomed Sr Michelle, a volunteer from the Longford branch of SVP to the school. The students welcomed her and thanked her for her work.
Sr Michelle gave a speech highlighting how beneficial the food boxes are to people in the local
community.
We gathered 12 big boxes in total, fitting with the 12 days of Christmas.
A heartfelt thank you to all the students and to the whole school community who donated so
generously.
‘Bíonn blas ar an mbeagán- enough is as good as a feast.
Thank you to Ms Gilhooley and her team of students who organised the appeal and hampers!:
