Longford trainer Paul Flynn saddles his second winner of new year as 'Feature This' triumphs in Dundalk

Co Longford trainer Paul Flynn saddled his second winner of the new year as 'Feature This' took the opening division of the eight-furlong handicap at Dundalk on Friday night.

Ridden by Robert Whearty, the 16/1 chance battled well to see off the Pat Murphy-trained Kudbegood by half a length, a success that left Flynn with some explaining to do to owners Ian Brassil and Brian McInerney.

He said, “The owners didn't come as I put them off! They watched it at home but were quickly on the phone to me, they are all chuffed.

"Robert gave her a great ride. It was great to see her winning. We’ll keep her going here at Dundalk, I think she is an all-weather filly and think she’ll keep progressing.”
