Longford woman’s handmade cards will help send family to Lourdes

Talented Longford card maker Nicole Belton raised €269 Longford Garden Centre
A Longford woman’s creative enterprise has helped raise money to support a family’s visit to Lourdes through the voluntary organisation Caring and Sharing Association (CASA) Group Longford.

Nicole Belton undertook a card-making project last autumn, creating handmade cards which she then sold with the support of Laura Shaw in Longford Garden Centre.
After Laura kindly allowed Nicole to sell her cards at the centre, the fundraising initiative proved a success with card sales totalling an impressive €269.
Nicole donated the proceeds to the CASA Group Longford, where she was informed that the money would go towards supporting a family to visit Lourdes this year.
The group thanked Laura Shaw for helping make the card sales possible, as well as to Jean and the staff at Hollygreen for their support in making the fundraising venture a success.
