Longford and Lanesboro Community College student Ronan Lyons is proudly representing his school and Team SciFest Ireland at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair in Phoenix, Arizona, USA this week from May 9 - 16.

He gained this opportunity after previously winning a Regeneron Isef Travel award at the SciFest National final in November. Best of luck Ronan!

Ronan's Team SciFest Ireland colleagues are Zack O'Leary (Clongowes Wood College) and Addison Carey (Celbridge Community School).

SciFest Ireland say the 'dedication and hard work' of the trio has been outstanding and 'regardless of the results, we couldn’t be prouder of them'.

They also congratulated teachers Mary O'Brien of Lanesboro Community College, Yve Nolan of Clongowes Wood College and Zita Murphy of Celbridge Community School, whose guidance and support have been invaluable.
