Through their hard work, enthusiasm and teamwork, the sixth class pupils at St Teresa's NS, Killoe raised a significant amount of money for causes that were very meaningful to them.

The pupils of sixth class at St Teresa's NS, Killoe, have been recognised for their outstanding generosity and community spirit following the tremendous success of their annual Bring and Buy Sale.

With the wonderful support of their families, friends and the wider Killoe community, the boys and girls organised and hosted a fantastic fundraising event that was enjoyed by all.

Through their hard work, enthusiasm and teamwork, they raised a significant amount of money for causes that were especially meaningful to them.

After careful discussion, the pupils chose to donate the proceeds to three very deserving organisations.

Donations were made to BUMBLEance, Ireland's children's ambulance service, the Irish Cancer Society, and Killoe First Responders, whose funding will contribute towards the purchase of a life-saving defibrillator for the local community.

The project gave the pupils the opportunity to experience the value of planning, organisation and teamwork while, most importantly, demonstrating compassion and kindness towards others.

Every aspect of the fundraiser was led with great maturity, and the children took immense pride in giving something back to charities and organisations that make such a positive difference in people's lives.

The staff of St Teresa's NS are immensely proud of the 6th Class pupils for their dedication, generosity and leadership throughout the initiative.

They have been exceptional role models for the younger children in the school, showing that even small acts of kindness can have a lasting impact on others.

The school would also like to extend its sincere thanks to all the parents, families, local businesses and members of the community who donated items, attended the Bring and Buy Sale and supported the fundraiser so generously.

Their kindness and encouragement helped make the event such a memorable success.
