It is one day until Frankie McCafferty comes onto Longford's iconic stage to perform 'Lisdoon-Nirvana'. Starting at 8pm, this 75-minute show is going to take you back in time to the 80s. Iconic songs, no technological burdens – just the atmosphere.
Frankie McCafferty has been to Longford before to perform, and he has an impressive portfolio. From 'Ballykissangel' to 'Blue Bloods', he has a wide and impressive acting range that all audiences have enjoyed and continue to.
Frankie had an additional shout-out to all the Longford theatre lovers who would love to support their own local theatre, as well as nationwide talent:
"This is new. I know it’s about the 80s, but it’s looking back on it. We haven’t really looked at the 80s with nostalgia," he said. "Everywhere it's been shown, is great and people loved it, and wanted to see it again. People want to see it and always rave about it."
Afterwards, Frankie will be making time to chat with audience members who have attended. He is remaining in Longford overnight, so is in no rush.
Songs are intrinsic to this piece, as it is about the last music festival that took place in Nirvana. Some of them are classics, and others are original compositions.
