The inaugural Abbeylara Arts Festival on Saturday, November 7 and Sunday, November 8 at Abbeylara Parish Centre proved to be a great celebration of drama, creativity and community spirit.
The highlight on Saturday evening was the One Act Drama Festival, featuring three drama groups: Abbeylara Drama Group (Last Tango in Abbeylara), Ballinalee Players (A Galway Girl) and Cornmill Theatre Group (Dead Man’s Bells) from Carrigallen.
Audiences at the beautiful north Longford venue were treated to three brilliant performances, with lots of variety, entertainment and plenty of laughs.
The focus turned to younger performers on Sunday afternoon with a Little Stars Showcase. This free, family-friendly event will feature performances from Abbeylara Junior and Senior Stage School, alongside the local karate club.
The showcase gave young people the opportunity to share their skills, confidence and creativity with family, friends and the wider community.
Longford Live photographer Shelley Corcoran captured this gallery of photos from the inaugural Abbeylara Arts Festival and we hope you enjoy them.
