‘Haunted Westmeath Podcast Live: Longford Edition’, Samhain Harvest Anthology of Poetry and Hope Feeney art exhibition in Longford, the Home of Halloween

The ‘Haunted Westmeath Podcast Live: Longford Edition’ took place on Friday, October 23 in Edward J Valentine's Bar and on Sunday, October 25, in PV’s Red Room there was a large attendance at the Samhain Poetry book launch and an art exhibition by Hope Feeney.

The events were part of the Longford Home of Halloween programme and attracted large attendances.

Friday’s event in Valentine’s featured a live podcast experience blending storytelling, folklore and conversation, exploring the myths, traditions and strange tales of Samhain.

While PV’s Red Room, Longford town was the venue on Sunday, October 25 for the launch of the Samhain Harvest Anthology of Poetry and Hope Feeney's art exhibition. Poets from across Ireland were in attendance and even a poet who flew in from America for the launch.

The Samhain Harvest Anthology of Poetry featured poems on Halloween, autumn, haunting, solstice, harvest, mystery and ghostly themes.

Longford Live photographer Shelley Corcoran captured this gallery of photos from Valentine’s and PV’s and we hope you enjoy them.
