Parishes across Longford were represented at Longford Parish parkrun on Saturday morning at The Mall, Albert Reynolds Peace Park.
As the fog lifted, the area was transformed into a sea of parish pride as close to two hundred participants wore their parish or club colours.
“It was a brilliant morning as family, friends, teammates and neighbours came along to walk, jog, run or simply enjoy the atmosphere. It's all about community, getting active and having a great time together,” enthused Longford parkrun Director and Dromard man Kevin Kane.
He added, “We had people from Killoe, Legan, Drumlish, Edgeworthstown, Ballymahon, Granard, Ardagh and Newtownforbes or many other places across the county. It was very enjoyable.”
Kevin outlined that parkrun is free, fun and open to everyone and takes place every Saturday morning at 9.30am in The Mall.
