Roscommon Historical and Archaeological Society launch Journal

The County Roscommon Historical and Archaeological Society launched their latest edition of their excellent Journal. The book has many excellent articles with photographs to bring back memories to many people.

Involved in the Society is a local man now residing in Trien, Castlerea, Edmund Hester son of the late John and Mary Hester Knock and brother of Eugene, Knock. There are articles with people whose writings we would be very familiar with namely Henry Owens, Mike Lennon, Tommy Murray and Albert Siggins to name a few.

The Journal is for sale in O’Brien’s costing €20 and it is very well worth the read.
