The inaugural online production sale of Trillick Herefords, featuring heifers from the proven bloodlines of the Trillick Herd, bred in county Longford by the Farrell family, takes place from Friday, August 28 to Monday, August 31 at 8pm on the denisbarrett.marteye.ie platform.
Viewing of the twenty-two maiden Pedigree Hereford heifers took place at the Farrell’s Trillick-A-Temple farm last Saturday and there was significant interest from all over the country and overseas.
Vendor JJ Farrell explained, “We are offering all of our maiden heifers which we feel will compliment any herd.”
Mr Farrell, who is also the Chairperson of the Longford Agricultural Show organising committee, added, “All of these heifers have bloodlines which we have sourced throughout Ireland and the UK, which has proven so successful for our herd.”
You can check out denisbarrett.marteye.ie for more photos, videos and information on the heifers for sale are available.
Mr Farrell remarked, “Our vision and aim is to produce easy calving and easy fleshing animals with good milk production traits, which are also pleasing to the eye.”
