A sum of money has been found in the Aldi car car park in Longford town this afternoon.
A woman contacted the Longford Leader after discovering the money.
She said she exited the store and walked past the loading bay and the Re-turn bottle machines to a car parking area on the right hand side facing the main road before finding the money on the ground.
She stated that although it was not a substantial amount she thought if it belonged to someone like a pensioner or someone who did not have a lot of money it was best to try to return it.
The woman did not disclose the exact amount as she would like to return the money to the rightful owner if they get in touch and are able to confirm the amount of money recovered.
