Amazing day for lucky Offaly punter who won big on Lotto bet

There were celebrations in Offaly this week when a punter turned a bullish Lotto wager into a five-figure profit thanks to just three lucky numbers.

The anonymous winner struck a €50 wager on three numbers to come out in the Irish Lotto Plus 2 draw on Wednesday evening.

They were left hoping for numbers 8, 10 and 22 and faced odds of 400/1 on them all coming out. A nail-biting finish was required, but the bonus ball came to the rescue as 22 rolled out to trigger the handsome return.

Their bold investment meant they were able to log back in not long after the draw to see their account balance topped up by a mega total of €20,050.
