Armed gardai involved as five men in the Midlands arrested in connection with violent disorder incident

Gardaí in Midlands arrested five men on Tuesday in connection with an investigation into a violent disorder incident on May 6.
In that incident on New Street and Ballymahon Street, Longford Town a number of weapons were produced and a number of vehicles damaged.
On Tuesday, in Edgeworthstown, local Gardaí assisted by the Armed Response Unit entered a property and arrested five men.
One of the men is in his late teens, two are aged in their 20s, one is in his 30s and one is in his 40s.
They were all been charged to appear before Longford District Court.
