Barnardos Children's Charity to benefit from Lisa's Lust List raffle

Lisa McGowan of Lisa’s Lust List is giving people the chance to win one of five €1,000 cheques, all in a bid to raise much needed funds for the children and families Barnardos works with this Christmas. The children’s charity provides practical and emotional support to more than 16,800 children and parents across Ireland each year.

Lisa McGowan said: “For me I have such great memories from Christmas - it was presents, fun, laughter, excitement and love. I do one charity raffle every year and this year I have picked children’s charity Barnardos. I’m so happy to help to raise money and awareness for Barnardos and the work they do. Since the raffle went live, I’ve been reading messages from so many who have used Barnardos services and I've been blown away. Barnardos are doing phenomenal work out there, I’m so delighted so many have gotten behind me. I want to keep it going and for the raffle to do well. I really want more children to feel the magic of Christmas – every child deserves to feel that. If you can give even €5, I’m asking people to donate and to help wrap up some happiness and smiles.”

Barnardos CEO Suzanne Connolly said: “I want to thank Lisa so much for selecting Barnardos to benefit from her annual Christmas Online Raffle. The money raised is going to bring a lot of comfort and practical support to vulnerable children and their parents this Christmas. And I want to thank all of you who are supporting Lisa’s Raffle. It makes such a difference to children and parents who really need it. And I want to encourage you to maybe ask some of your friends or family who may be able to do so to support the raffle too."

At the time of writing the money raised had reached €103,495 for the charity.
