BIG PICTURE SPECIAL: Out and about on the town in Tullamore over the Bank Holiday weekend

The August Bank Holiday marked another busy weekend in Offaly with many people enjoying a night out on the town.

There was plenty of events and occasions on around the pubs in Tullamore including Metalfest in John Lee's Bar as well as birthday and leaving parties.

Our photographer Niall O'Mara visited an array of venues around the town capturing the atmosphere on Saturday night.

These included John Lee's Bar, Fergies Bar and The Old Harbour Bar.
