Charity in the Midlands rescues mutilated dog with bone exposed

A Laois animal charity has expressed disgust following the mutilation of a dog’s tail.
Laois Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals(LSPCA) took to social media to highlight the case of Hattie, who had been in Laois Pound.
“Sadly, some excuse for a human tried to dock her tail and left the bone exposed. We can only imagine the pain this little one suffered, but despite this she is a dote,” Laois SPCA stated on their Facebook page.
Despite the terrible order the dog has endured, Laois SPCA say there is a happy end to the tale.
“She had a lovely bath when she went to her foster home and settled in straight away. Hattie, as we’ve named her will have surgery tomorrow to repair her tail and she will be neutered at the same time. We’ll never understand why people have to be so cruel to animals,” they added.
