What one local in Tullamore described as 'craters' on Patrick Street in the town are damaging vehicles that drive over them.
Patrick Street is one of the busiest streets in the town but a stretch of the road near the Credit Union is in particularly bad condition.
As our pictures below show, the road has been previously patched but now potholes are appearing in the patched sections.
While we were taking pictures of the holes, a local told us he had seen a car puncturing a tire in one of the holes.
Describing the potholes as 'craters' he said it was 'a disgrace' that Patrick Street had been allowed to get into such a state of disrepair.
"It's one of the busiest streets in the town but it's riddled with craters. They spent a fortune on High Street and William Street and O'Connor Square but Patrick Street has been ignored.
