Eircom given permission to replace large telecommunications structure in Offaly

Eircom has been given permission to replace and existing telecommunications pole in Offaly. 

Eircom has been granted permission to replace a 25 metre telecommunications monopole in Offaly with a 30m telecommunications lattice structure. 

The existing Eir exchange is located in Shinrone. 

The new structure will include antennas, dishes and associated telecommunications equipment and a security fence. 

Permission was granted with seven conditions attached. Among the conditions is a stipulation that no advertising signs will be erected on the structure.
