Expensive items stolen from sheds in Offaly found dumped in a field

A NUMBER of expensive items were recently stolen from the sheds of two houses in the Scurragh area of Birr Town.

The items included two lawnmowers, a paint sprayer and various other tools.

“The items were dumped in a nearby field,” said a Garda spokesperson, “and the thieves were probably going to pick them up later. However, we recovered them first. We have harvested a quantity of CCTV footage and are following a definite line of inquiry.”
