FULL CIRCLE – Six artists reunite for special exhibition in Offaly

Exhibition takes place in Kilcormac thisThursday
SIX artists, one shared beginning and a friendship spanning the years, will come together in Kilcormac this September for a very special reunion exhibition, Full Circle.
Artists Linda Kelly, Rosaleen Heavin, Belinda Fair, Rachel Somers, Aisling Morin and Patricia Kavanagh first met while studying art together at GMIT in Galway.
Coming from Galway, Westmeath and Offaly, their college years marked the beginning not only of their individual creative journeys, but of friendships that have endured long after their student days came to an end.
Since then, life has taken each of them in different directions. They have developed their own distinctive artistic styles, interests and approaches, with each forging a creative path that is uniquely their own.
The exhibition will bring together a diverse collection of original work from all six artists. With very different styles, techniques, subject matter and perspectives represented, visitors can expect an exhibition filled with individuality and contrast, six distinctive artistic voices connected by a shared creative beginning.
There is something particularly special about these six women exhibiting alongside one another again. They began as aspiring artists learning, experimenting and finding their individual voices together. Years later, they return with the experience of lives lived, careers developed, families raised, friendships maintained and creative identities that have continued to evolve.
Art may have been what first brought these six women together, but friendship has kept them connected, while their shared love of creativity has continued to grow alongside them.
The exhibition will officially open at 7.00 pm on Thursday, September 10 in the newly renovated Lough Boora Room at Kilcormac Community Centre.
