Furlong re-appointed Offaly U-20 football manager

KEN Furlong has finally been re-appointed as the Offaly U-20 football manager for 2024, meaning that all county team managements are now in place.

The Tullamore man was rubber stamped as manager at a meeting of the County Board on Tuesday evening. He had served his first year in 2023, having stepped up from minor, and had been expected to be back but it was put on the long finger and he tried to get new selectors in place.

They were duly appointed at the board meeting with Birr's Stephen Lonergan and Rhode's Brian Darby nominated. Lonergan had been a selector last year along with Ballycumber's Colm Quinn and Tullamore's Cathal Daly, who opted out.
