Gardai in Offaly seize dangerously defective car from learner driver

Gardai in Offaly have seized dangerously defective car from an unaccompanied learner driver.
Gardai say the vehicle was observed being driven suspiciously in Edenderry on Tuesday night.
On observing Gardaí, the vehicle fled into a housing estate before the vehicle was stopped.
Gardai subsequently discovered that the vehicle was being driven by an unaccompanied learner who had no Insurance, no Tax and also that the vehicle was 'dangerously defective'.
Gardai seized the vehicle under Section 41 of the Road Traffic Act and say that proceedings have commenced.
