Gardai investigating after window smashed in house in rural location in Offaly

AN ACT of criminal damage occurred last week at a private dwelling in the Ballyboy area near Kilcormac.

The resident of the house was at home when he heard the sound of a window smashing. When he went to investigate the noise he found that a ball bearing had been thrown through one of the windows at the front of the house.

The crime happened at 6.30pm on Friday, July 21. The Gardaí subsequently carried out an investigation by going from house to house in the area and asking questions.

They are also presently viewing CCTV footage.
