Gardai stand down search for missing Roscommon man amid tragic update

Gardai have stood down the search for a missing Roscommon man as they have issued a tragic update this afternoon.

Gardaí were seeking the public’s help in tracing 21-year-old David O'Callaghan, who had been missing from Boyle, Co. Roscommon since August 9.

However following the discovery of a man's body in County Roscommon earlier today, Wednesday, August 13, the missing person appeal has now been stood down.

Gardai thanked the public and media for their assistance during the course of this appeal.
