Growing anger in Offaly town with bus service often not turning up

Commuters in Edenderry and across north Kildare have been growing increasingly frustrated with the Go Ahead bus service from the town to Dublin.
Locals have been complaining to Go Ahead on Twitter over the last few months with numerous reports of buses not turning up for planned services.
As recently as this week, one Twitter user wrote to the company on Twitter and said: "What the hell happened to the 6.50 120 bus from Edenderry?"
Go Ahead responded:
Edenderry councillor Noel Cribbin confirmed he has also fielded multiple complaints about the service which took over from the long-standing Bus Eireann service on the 120 route in 2020.
"I have received several complaints from users of the Go Ahead bus services where the buses just don’t turn up to pick up customers, thus leaving users with no lift to work, college and appointments. Indeed some have been left stranded in Dublin at night with no way home," Cllr Cribbin commented.
"It is not good enough and this is happening all too often. I raised this issue at our December meeting [Edenderry Municipal district] and we got a bland standard reply.
"I have now requested for an official to attend our monthly meetings. They [Go Ahead] have requested times and dates of these 'no shows' and I thank all who have contacted me with this information. This information has been passed onto the company," he concluded.
Go Ahead Ireland has been contacted by Offaly Live for comment on the above issues.
