Historian, storyteller, musician and author remember in tree planting ceremony

On the first anniversary of the death of the late great local Cadamstown and Kinnitty historian, storyteller, musician and author Paddy Heaney, the Ardara Walking Club hosted a tree planting ceremony on Saturday evening last after Mass was celebrated for Paddy in St Luna’s Church, Cadamstown.
Representatives from the various clubs of which Paddy was a member, gathered on a lovely May evening to remember their friend.
Pictured planting the tree are Margaret Guinan and Sean Brown representing the Singing Circle club while the two ladies unveiling a plaque are Alice Carroll, representing the High Mileage Club, Mary Feighery representing the Kilcormac Ramblers and Eddie Spain, who organised the event is the chairman of the Ardara Walking club.
