A special presentation and plaque unveiling to mark an Offaly hurling hero's historic hole in one at Esker Hills Golf Club was held during the Offaly Football and Hurling Golf Societies contest this week. Johnny Flaherty recorded the first ever hole in one at a par 4 at this course in 2022. He was surprised and delighted when family members, friends and competitors gathered to commemorate his unique ace, a first hole in one at a par four in Esker Hills.
