Ireland Weather: Met Eireann forecast rise in temperatures and some brighter weather for Bank Holiday Weekend

Met Eireann is forecasting a rise in temperatures and brighter weather for at least part of the May Bank Holiday Weekend.
According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland, temperatures could reach as high as 19 degrees on Saturday with sunshine. Unfortunately there will also be showers at times.
Met Eireann says that current indications suggest a spell of rain early on Sunday will give way to a mix of cloud, sunny spells and scattered showers later Sunday and on bank holiday Monday. Mild with highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees with very light southerly breezes.
Ahead of the weekend, Thursday morning will be mostly cloudy with some patchy rain or drizzle, mainly in the north. Persistent rain will soon develop in the southwest, extending across the country by evening. That rain may turn heavy or thundery at times with spot flooding possible. Highest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees in light east to southeast breezes.
There will be patches of rain early on Thursday night, becoming mainly confined to western coasts overnight with clear spells developing. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees in light variable breezes. Some mist or shallow fog patches too.
Friday will start out with a good deal of cloud and some patchy rain and drizzle, although there will be a few bright or sunny spells too. It will become sunnier in the afternoon but a few showers will bubble up then too. There may be a few heavy showers in the mix later in the afternoon and evening, especially in Munster and perhaps south Connacht. Highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees in just light southerly or variable breezes.
Clear spells in the north and east at first on Friday night will give way to heavy showers or longer spells of rain transferring northeastwards over the country. Mostly cloudy conditions with just isolated showers will follow from the southwest. A mild night with lows of 9 to 12 degrees in light southerly or variable breezes.
