A MAN has been accused of assaulting another man, causing him harm, at a flat in Tullamore.

Dylan McMahon (29), Kilpatrick, Kildangan, Monasterevin, is alleged to have assaulted Kasper Lusztzylski in a flat at Church Street, Tullamore on October 18 last.

Mr McMahon is further accused of stealing €14 worth of Budweiser at Lidl, Church Road, Tullamore.

He appeared in custody at Tullamore District Court last week where Detective Garda Adrian Hanley said he believed it would be a few weeks before directions would be available from the DPP.

Mr McMahon said he wanted David Nugent, BL, to represent him and after taking instructions, Mr Nugent told Judge Andrew Cody the matter could be adjourned and said the accused needed to get his medication while on remand.

Judge Cody remanded Mr McMahon in custody to appear in court again by videolink on November 22 and made a recommendation that he receive his prescribed medication.
