Man charged with possession of drugs worth €13,000 in Offaly
The Book of Evidence is awaited in the case
A man charged with being in possession of a number of controlled drugs was remanded on court bail for preparation of the book of evidence in the case.
Maciej Klosiewicz, (55) with an address at 18 Patrick Street, Rhode, is alleged to have committed the offences at the same address on September 4, 2023 when he was found to have unlawfully in his possession the controlled drugs amphetamine, chloromethcathinone and methamphetamine for the purposes of selling or supplying to another.
At the time the drugs were in the possession of the defendant they had a market value of €13,000 or more, Sergeant Brendan Kearns told the court.
Sergeant Kearns sought an adjournment for the book of evidence to be presented. Judge Andrew Cody adjourned the case to October 16, 2024.
