A Garda investigation is underway following a suspected assault incident the Midlands
The incident occurred on Monday afternoon at approximately 3pm in Drumlish in Longford.
It is understood that the victim, a man in his 60's, received treatment at the Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar for what were described as non-life threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made but investigations are ongoing.
