New housing development planned for Offaly town

A new housing development is planned in Gallen, Ferbane, adjoining the Mill Race estate.
A planning application has been submitted to Offaly Co Council seeking approval for the construction of 22 houses.
The development will comprise of a mix of semi-detached and terraced, two storey house types.
The development will include a new road and footpath, connections to adjoining Mill Race estate, new site boundary treatments, hard and soft landscaping and ancillary site services. These will include a new sewage pumping station, and all associated site works.
The planning application has been submitted by Droughill Builders Ltd.
A decision is due on the application on September 13 next.
