Offaly goes international as GAA jersey spotted for sale in Spanish tourist spot
One Offaly tourist was surprised and delighted to spot an Offaly GAA jersey for sale very far from home
Offaly hurling enjoyed a resurgence this year and it seems the success his rubbing off on the continent.
One Offaly tourist was surprised and delighted to spot an Offaly GAA jersey for sale in a shop while on holidays in Spain.
Sitting alongside shirts from the Chicago Bulls and LA Lakers was the humble green, white and gold of Offaly, prompting Ballinamere man Joe Gaffey to claim "Offaly is definitely back."
"I am on the holidays in Calella on the Costa Brava and spotted this," he said tagging Offaly GAA, adding, "jerseys for sale alongside Barcelona and Chicago Bulls. Cmon de faithful."
It reminded us of five other times Offaly jerseys ended up in very random places, including on a Netflix documentary about Africa.
