There will be huge demand for the Cork v Tipperary match in big double bill

OFFALY hurling supporters have been advised to quickly try and secure their tickets for the National Hurling League Division 1B final against Waterford on Sunday, April 6 in Cork.

The game will be a curtain raiser to the Division 1A final between Cork and Tipperary and there will be a huge demand for tickets for that.

With Cork and Tipperary in the 1A final and Cork as the venue, it made perfect sense to have the two finals as a double bill, even though Pairc Ui Caoimh is a lot more convenient for Waterford than Offaly.

With a motorway most of the way, Cork is a two hour to two and a half hour journey from most parts of Offaly and is not that inconvenient. It will be good for Offaly to play at one of the GAA's iconic venues before a big game while supporters will also enjoy the impressively renovated ground but tickets could get tight.

Tickets have gone on general sale on Ticketmaster on Monday afternoon with no supporters' allocation for County Boards. Pairc Ui Caoimh can hold over 45,500 and the Offaly GAA County Board have advised supporters to act quickly and not delay until next week in case the fixture does sell out.
