JUDGE Andrew Cody said a man had committed nearly “every road traffic offence possible” and fined him a total of €750.

Two driving bans, one for three years and another for two years, were also imposed on Daniel Collins (27), Thornsberry, Tullamore, who had previously pleaded guilty to numerous offences at Davitt Street, Tullamore on February 13 last year.

In addition to drink-driving and dangerous driving, Mr Collins was summonsed for driving without a licence, failing to give his correct name or address, exhibiting an imitation disc and using a vehicle without an NCT certificate.

Tullamore District Court was told he had not come to garda attention since the incident and he had engage well with the probation service.

Judge Cody said it was a serious incident and remarked that the alcohol level in the man's blood, 211mg, was “pretty high”.

Defending solicitor Donal Farrelly said Mr Collins had been drinking and using cocaine for a period but was a hardworking man who had been working 12 hours a day at the time.
