Offaly motorist fined €1,500 for parking in disabled bay

A DEFENDANT from Kilcormac was convicted and fined €1,500 during last week's Tullamore Court.

Ronan Mahon, 17 Fairgreen St, Kilcormac was summonsed for parking in a disabled person's parking bay and having no tax displayed on Fairgreen St, Kilcormac on September 22, 2023.

“At 12.55pm I observed a white Volkswagen Passat parked in a disabled parking space. The tax had been out for a year."

The Garda said Mr Mahon had one previous conviction, for being intoxicated in a public place.

Judge Andrew Cody convicted for both offences and fined as stated.
