Offaly organic dairy brand Glenisk achieves B Corp Certification

Independent certification recognises the Irish family-owned organic dairy company's commitment to responsible business practices and positive social and environmental impact
GLENISK, Ireland's leading organic dairy brand, has achieved B Corp Certification, joining a global community of businesses committed to high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency.
Founded in County Offaly in 1987, Glenisk has built its reputation on producing organic dairy products while championing responsible farming practices, biodiversity and long-standing relationships with organic farming families across Ireland.
B Corp Certification follows a comprehensive assessment and verification of how Glenisk operates and its impact on people and the planet. The assessment examined five key areas — governance, workers, community, environment and customers — including ethical leadership, employee wellbeing, supply chain practices, environmental management and customer care.
The certification marks an important milestone for the Cleary family-owned business, reinforcing values that have been central to Glenisk for almost four decades.
Vincent Cleary, Managing Director of Glenisk, said: "Achieving B Corp Certification is a very proud moment for everyone at Glenisk. As a family business, we've always believed that how we produce our food is just as important as the food itself. Our commitment to organic farming, looking after the land and building lasting relationships with our farming families, has been at the heart of Glenisk from the beginning.
"B Corp Certification is particularly meaningful because it looks at the whole business — how we treat our people, work with our suppliers, support our communities and manage our environmental impact. It's independent recognition of the values we've worked hard to uphold over many years."
Glenisk works with approximately 50 farming families across Ireland, sourcing organic milk for its range of yogurts, kefir, Skyr and other dairy products.
The company has continued to invest in its business, people and product innovation, while maintaining its commitment to organic food production and responsible business practices.
Vincent Cleary added: "We're enormously proud of our team and our organic farming partners, who are such an important part of this achievement. But becoming a B Corp isn't about saying we've reached the finish line. It's about holding ourselves accountable, continuing to improve and making sure that as Glenisk grows, we remain true to the principles on which the business was founded.
"Our ambition is to build a successful Irish food business that makes a positive contribution to people, communities and the environment, not just today but for generations to come."
As a Certified B Corporation, Glenisk has also met B Lab's legal accountability requirements, embedding consideration of stakeholders into its governance and committing to greater transparency around its performance.
The certification provides Glenisk with a framework for continuing to measure, manage and improve its social and environmental impact as the business enters its next chapter.
