Offaly punter lands big win on lucky Lotto bet

A lucky Offaly punter was celebrating this week after they turned a Lotto wager into a five-figure profit thanks to just three lucky numbers.

The anonymous winner struck a €30 bet on three numbers to come out in the Irish Lotto Plus 1 draw on Wednesday evening last.

They were left hoping for numbers 3, 11 and 17 and faced odds of 400/1 on them all coming out. Two had already been revealed before number 3 came to the rescue when it rolled out as the bonus ball, triggering the handsome return.

The lucky won them a grand total of €12,030.
