Coláiste Naomh Cormac represented their school and county with distinction
Tugaimíd moladh ó chroí d’fhoireann díospóireachta na scoile as ucht páirt a glacadh i gcraobh díospóireachta na hÉireann i mBaile Átha Cliath le déanaí. Bhain siad éacht stairiúil amach agus iad ar a n-aistear foghlama i mbliana.
There was great excitement and pride in Coláiste Naomh Cormac this week as a team of students - consisting of Lucy, Jack, Jiani and Rachel competed in the All-Ireland final of the prestigious Gael Linn Irish Debating competition.
Representing their school and county with distinction, the students showcased outstanding fluency, sharp reasoning, and a deep passion for the Irish language. The competition, which attracts the top young debaters from schools across the country, is a celebration of oratory skill and Gaeilge, and reaching the final is a huge achievement in itself.
The journey to the final saw the Coláiste Naomh Cormac team advance through multiple rounds of challenging debate, tackling contemporary and cultural topics with poise and confidence. Their success is a reflection of their hard work and commitment, as well as the school’s strong tradition of Irish-language excellence.
Though the final was fiercely contested, the experience has left a lasting impact on the students and the school community. The team’s performance has inspired younger students and brought great honour to Coláiste Naomh Cormac.
Comhghairdeas ó chroí to all involved — this is a moment of great pride for the school and for Irish-language education.
