Offaly travel North looking for second win in camogie league
Impressive win over Kerry got Offaly's campaign off to ideal start
AFTER Saturday's win against Kerry in the opening round of this year's Very League Division 2A, Offaly travel north this weekend where they will take on Derry.
Many would have been surprised at the final scoreline of Offaly's result last week against Kerry as the game would have been expected to have been a closer affair. Credit to Offaly though who did put in a good performance, which as David Sullivan said afterwards, will give his team confidence and belief in what they are trying to do.
They face a stiff challenge this weekend however when they take on last year's Division 2A finalists Derry. When the teams met in the League last year in Banagher, Derry took the spoils by a point in a low scoring match.
In their first round match last weekend Derry had a narrow win away to Carlow which sets up this weekend's clash to be an exciting and intriguing affair.
The match throws in at 2pm on Saturday at the Derry Centre of Excellence in Owenbeg.
