MEMBERS of Tullamore Fine Gael gathered in Maunsell's Bar & Restaurant, Tullamore on Friday last for the party's autumn social gathering.

A delicious barbeque was prepared by Maunsell's and was thoroughly enjoyed by all present. It was a lovely opportunity to reflect on the summer that was and to hear the plans for the busy year ahead.

There was an eclectic mix of entertainment on the night, with the crowd treated to a unique recitation by Dr Philip Brady which was created by him to remember the 15 young girls from the Edenderry Workhouse who were sent to Australia during the Great Famine.

Cllrs Neil Feighery and Liam Quinn along with Tom Conway, Deirdre Fox and John Mitchell all delivered their party pieces to the enjoyment of all present.

The members thanked and acknowledged the huge efforts of Molly Buckley who organised what was an enjoyable and memorable night for all.
