Penneys announces huge price cuts on hundreds of kids' summer essentials

Selected items will be available to purchase from as little as €1.30
Penneys has cut prices on hundreds of kids' summer essentials, with items available from as little as €1.30.
The price of holiday must-haves like t-shirts, swimwear, sliders and baseball caps for kids will all be lower as part of Penneys' commitment to keep costs low.
The move also extends to babywear, with a full outfit comprising of selected t-shirts and shorts now only €5.60 compared to €8.00 12 months ago.
Head of Penneys Ireland and Northern Ireland, Fintan Costello, said, "We recognise that parents particularly are really feeling the pinch right now trying to make their finances stretch. Summer can be an expensive time for families as the holidays get closer and parents want to make their money go further.

This marks Penneys’ second year of introducing lower prices across hundreds of essential kids’ items after previously dropping its prices across selected kidswear ranges last summer in time for the Back-to-School shopping period.
The majority of Penneys swim shorts and swimsuits are made using recycled materials (a minimum of 50% recycled polyester) while elected t-shirts, shorts and babywear outfits continue to be made using a minimum of 50% cotton sourced from the Primark Sustainable Cotton Programme (PSCP).
The new lower priced items include the following, with new lines landing in store each week:
- Kids t-shirts from €2.30 (€2.50 in Spring/Summer 2023)
- Kids swim shorts from €3.00 (€4.00 in Spring/Summer 2023)
- Kids swimsuits from €3.50 (€4.00 in Spring/Summer 2023)
- Kids licensed t-shirts and shorts from €4.00 (€5.00 in Spring/Summer 2023)
- Kids sliders from €3.80 (€6.00 in Spring/Summer 2023)
- Kids baseball caps from €1.30 (€2.00 in Spring/Summer 2023)
- Baby sweatshirts and joggers from €2.80 (€4.00 in Spring/Summer 2023)
- Baby licensed t-shirts and shorts from €2.80 (€4.00 in Spring/Summer 2023)
The new prices are available on selected kids clothing, which has started landing in all Primark stores across Ireland and further afield.
