READY mourns Maureen Herley Deevy nee Gorman

THE READY organisation is mourning the recent death of one of their long term members Maureen Herley Deevy.
PRO Phil Newton penned this tribute to the much loved member.
''Maureen Herley, a long time member of the READY Organisation ascended to her heavenly home just before Christmas.
Maureen, who was very much part of our early days in READY, loved to travel and enjoyed our many social outings and day trips. Her life was celebrated on Christmas Eve in the Church of the Assumption Tullamore where friends and relatives remembered the many good times they shared with Maureen.
A talented cook, Maureen worked for many years in catering. A genius with her hands, she made beautiful clothes worthy of the best fashion houses.
She also made her daughter in law’s wedding dress, and it was magnificent.'' said Phil.
Maureen was also a most elegant dancer, and glided across the floor in such a way that you wouldn’t know that her feet touched the ground.
She was also a Eucharistic Minister for many years, over 30 in fact here in Tullamore.
READY Organisation extends our sincere sympathies to her sons, Paul, Conor and Mark, her daughter Regina, son in law Niall, daughters in law Anne and Grainne, brother Michael and to her sisters Rose, Liz and Teresa. We also extend our sympathy to her six grandchildren whom she adored.
A life that she loved, and created that wonderful zest was celebrated on the 24th December and mother earth opened her arms to welcome her back home again in Durrow Cemetery. Fly high with angels Maureen you were of the best and we are better people having known you,'' concluded Phil Newton.
