14: Full forward - Brian Duignan (Ballinamere) Brian Duignan is another of the players who couldn't be left off this team. He was immense throughout the year and when he clicked into top gear, he was a great asset to Ballinamere. Duignan can drift out of games at times, perhaps when he needs to take a breather and recharge his batteries for his next flat out spell, but his influence on the championship was massive. He scored well from play and frees, was physical and was so hungry. He had possibly his best ever game for Ballinamere in the county final and if they had sneaked the win, he would probably have been man of the match that day.

15: Left corner forward – Adam Screeney (Kilcormac-Killoughey) With a reputation that far transcends county boundaries, Adam Screeney is an automatic selection. He is earmarked for special attention by every team, some times double marked, always with a player breathing down his neck, yet he always manages to get away for a couple of scores. His county final performance was truly remarkable as he scored six points from play and it could very easily have been 1-8. Ballinamere knew what they had to do, yet they never got to grips with him and that makes that display so special. His has the skill to make space where none seems to exist, can take spectacular points and his conversion rate from frees his high.
