Roscrea Library hosts Tipperary Festival of Science

Roscrea Library have several exciting events planned
Roscrea Library is delighted to host two events for the Tipperary Festival Of Science.
On Monday, November 9, join them at 2.15pm for Chair Yoga with Donal Quirke of YogaBody Ireland.
This is an accessible and gentle chair yoga session inspired by the natural flow, rhythm and restorative qualities of water.
Through flowing seated movements, gentle stretches and breathing exercises, participants will explore how movement supports circulation, how the breath influences the nervous system, and how the body responds to relaxation.
Like water, they'll move between activity and stillness. The session concludes with a guided relaxation, allowing the body and mind to settle, like ripples fading on still water.
Suitable for all ages and abilities, with no previous yoga experience required. Places are limited and booking is essential.
On Wednesday, November 11, join the CRAFT Team from Mary Immaculate College between 3.30pm and 4.45pm as they guide you through free, fun water-based activities and challenges.
Get a chance to design your own LEGO boat and see if it will float or sink and discover the microscopic elements of water and learn to control a diver using water pressure.
These activities are suitable for all ages. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who must remain in the library during the session. No booking is required.
For further information on these sessions or any other library queries, visit their website at tipperarylibraries.ie, email roscrealibrary @tipperarycoco.ie, call (0505) 22032 or visit them on Birr Road.
