Sadness at passing of remarkable world recording breaking goose from Offaly

Concepta the goose – owned by the Dolan family in Banagher – received an award at this year's St Patrick's Day parade in Tullamore
Concepta, the world recording breaking goose, owned by the Dolan family from Banagher has passed away.
The affable goose was in Tullamore just last month to receive the prize she won in the town's St Patrick's Day parade.
The goose astounded all the attendance at the presentation night by sampling pints of Guinness with gusto.
In a Facebook post, Concepta's owner, John Dolan, announcing her death, said: "It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Concepta the goose.
"Concepta was a remarkable goose, holding the world record for hatching three times in a single year.
"Her incredible vitality and ability to nurture new life were truly astonishing.
"She leaves behind a legacy of resilience and will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. She entertained all the children at the St Patrick's Day parades, and her local children's creches."
