Shane Lowry celebrates Offaly's Leinster Final win ahead of start of PGA Championship in New York
Shane Lowry and his father Brendan celebrated the Offaly U-20s dramatic Leinster Final win over Wexford ahead of start of PGA Championship in New York today.
Offaly produced an immense performance to win the final on Wednesday night in Carlow despite being down to 14 men for almost all of the second half.
Late points from Dan Ravenhill and Adam Screeny secured an amazing two point win.
Shane took to Instagram to post the picture of himself and Brendan with the caption 'Two very happy Offaly men here in Rochester. Great win for our under 20s this evening and great to see a bit of silverware heading for Offaly again.'
Shane begins his bid for a second major this afternoon (Thursday) when the PGA Championship tees off in Rochester, New York.
He tees off at 3.12pm Irish time in a marquee group alongside Jordan Speith and Victor Hovland and is expecting a tough challenge on the course.
