Top award for Offaly insurance firm

A TULLAMORE-based company has won the Brokers Ireland Protection Broker Expert Award.

The firm, Lion.ie, is run by Nick McGowan and dates back to its foundation by his father Brendan McGowan in 1981.

Brokers Ireland say the Broker Expert Awards shine a light on excellence by recognising insurance and financial brokers who offer the highest level of professionalism, innovation, performance, and service to their clients.

Liam Carberry, president of Brokers Ireland who delivered the opening address at the awards event in Croke Park said: “The role of Insurance and Financial Brokers is constantly evolving.  In an era of digitalisation and automation there is a growing need for the professional services offered by brokers. Good service, good product knowledge, and a professional approach to customer care are the bedrock of successful client relationships.”

Mr Carberry added: “The correlation between service quality and customer loyalty is unquestionable and underpins business growth, particularly in a service-driven industry like insurance. As we face uncertain national and global economic times, now more than ever consumers need professional guidance across their insurance and financial portfolios.”
